Cat Caspar: Music

I Still Believe

(Cat Caspar)
Cat Caspar (ASCAP) & Lori J. Rowton (SESAC)
i still believe

a mother stumbles home from work
she can barely read a word, she still stands
a soldier lonely out at war
no clue to what he's fighting for, he still defends
when did we just stop caring
i close my eyes cause i can't bear it to see such misery
our world in a disarray, our leaders don't care what we say
but i need, i need to believe
homeless pleading for some food
he's got nothing left to lose, but he won't cry
an orphan hasn't got a bed, he can barely lift his head
but he still tries
when did we just stop caring
i close my eyes cause i can't bear it to see such misery
our world in a disarray, our leaders don't care what we say
but i need, i need to believe
still every time i do what’s right, it keeps me going
the pain i see envelopes me, better off not knowing
i won’t hide, i’ll break free
cause i believe
when did we just stop caring
i close my eyes cause i can't bear it to see such misery
our world in a disarray, our leaders don't care what we say
but i need, i need to believe
i still believe, i still believe
